Math Is Easy and Fun
Math gets a bad reputation for being boring. This is probably because it is usually taught without any instruction as what to do with it. Hammers, by themselves, are pretty boring. Smashing things with hammers, however, is quite entertaining. Math is the same. Adding together 2 + 2 is pretty boring, but counting your gold is endless fun.
There is also a myth that math is hard. Math isn't any harder to learn than programming, so there's no need to fear it in the context it is presented here. In fact, if you are interested in mathematical concepts to accomplish something, such as rag-doll physics, math becomes fun.
This wiki book will use math in exactly this way and you will learn both math, and the rudiments of game programming.
